Kim has signed a new contract with Boosey & Hawkes Music Publishers for all future works.
Janis Susskind, Managing Director of Boosey & Hawkes comments:
“We are delighted to sign Kim André Arnesen to Boosey & Hawkes, as the latest addition to our growing catalogue of composers specialising in choral music. He is an outstanding example of the remarkable flowering of Nordic composing talent, and we look forward to helping create new opportunities for his music to be heard round the world.”
Kim comments: "It's a great honour for me to be joining Boosey & Hawkes, the publisher of many of our most beloved classical works. I first remember Boosey & Hawkes from when I was a child, singing as a choirboy in the Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim. We had many scores with the B&H brandmark, so I was introduced early to some of the composers that I still admire very much, like Stanford, Britten and Bernstein. And I'm thrilled to join a publisher of so many outstanding living composers. I see this as a wonderful opportunity and look forward to our coming collaborations on new works and publications."
First publications by Kim André Arnesen under the new contract include My flame the song for chorus and piano, which can be heard on Boosey & Hawkes's recent Contemporary Choral Series sampler disc at www.boosey.com/CCSsampler. Publications scheduled for autumn release include Gift to Sing for chorus and piano and Ubi caritas et amor for a cappella chorus, with a score of the new Holy Spirit Mass planned for future publication.
